Between the blue of the sea and the green of the hills is Castiglione della Pescaia. This renowned seaside resort is known for its beautiful beaches and large pine forests that continue to Marina di Grosseto, where they end with the magnificent Pineta del Tombolo. Castiglione della Pescaia is an ancient fishing village, in whose picturesque harbor-canal every evening still today the fishing boats dock with their darting cargo, making space among the many pleasure boats moored. The village is immersed in an extensive "green lung" where various animals - particularly interesting birds - and a rich and varied flora coexist. The territory of Castiglione della Pescaia is perfect for long walks on foot, on horseback or by bicycle, all practicable along paved roads or paths that penetrate between moss and pine needles.

The sea water is pleasant and the very long beaches of fine and clear sand extend to the edge of the pine forests. Here, summer lovers will find everything they desire to practice sailing sports or enjoy a refreshing seaside life.
